Southern Michigan Pain Consultants, PC (SMPC)
in February 2000 with a philosophy that chronic pain
should be treated as other chronic medical
conditions, utilizing the best methods of medicine
and treating their patient as a whole, in managing
their pain.
SMPC has three pain management centers, Portage,
Marshall & St. Joseph. Upon
founder Charles Guernsey's retirement, partner and fellow pain specialist Matt Kuiper DO took on the additional
role of Medical Director.
Dr. Kuiper and Dr. Alshab are recently welcomed Dr. Barton Wild to Southern Michigan Pain Consultants. Dr. Wild began seeing patients full time on July 19, 2010. He is be available at all three of our SMPC's locations.
SMPC's pain management centers offer comprehensive pain
management treatment and access to physical therapy and
behavioral medicine. The SMPC Portage Portage Pain
Management Center offers
onsite physical therapy and behavioral medicine. SMPC specializes in
treating chronic pain conditions and uses a
variety of methods and treatments across several
medical disciplines to make certain every aspect of a
person's pain is examined and treated according to
